ONLINE READING ABOUT TAROT

I am currently enjoying the entertainment of following two blogs with a great deal of information connected to the theory of tarot and tarot reading.

If this should also interest you, do check out both (they can be considered in 'enemy camps' - part of the entertainment factor for me).

Tarotica
A blog I find amusing, very informative and - in a way I like - opinionated, leading to an interesting website (currently being 'renovated').

This caught my eye as Tarotica is what I thought to call my blog some time back, before I actually started blogging.

Mary K. Greer’s Tarot Blog
This blog is by a very well known tarot writer whose ideas I find stimulating and informative, and with whom I very much enjoyed talking tarot at one of TABI's conferences (see Useful Links for TABI).

FAVOURITE DECKS

When reading face-to-face (f2f) with clients I offer a choice of decks. This changes slightly according to my mood and the type of event that might be involved, but the 'usual suspects' include:

Buckland Romani

Rider Waite Smith (RWS) - Radiant Rider Waite

Robin Wood

Pearls of Wisdom (just added - see post below)

Gilded

When reading on-line I offer Buckland Romani, RWS, Robin Wood, Lover's Path and Bright Idea Deck - see Useful Links: Tarot Source Readings, where there are links to reviews of these decks.

I also love the Thoth Tarot, Waking the Wild Spirit and - oh, many others! - often decks connected to mythology / story-telling.

My collection now numbers 230+ decks, so for further info you can find the full Tarot Source Collection at Tarot Addicts (see Useful Links in column on the right).

PEARLS OF WISDOM TAROT - UPDATE

I was delighted to hear from Roxi Sim of the Pearls of Wisdom Tarot, which I mentioned in my very first blog posting of 23rd Nov. '08 - yes, I have just started. ;)

A second edition of the deck is due, with an expanded book. You can find details at www.7th-house.com/pearlsofwisdom.html

I find this a very vibrant and readable deck and would recommend it to anyone with similar tarot tastes to my own.

To get an idea of my tastes, for comparison, see the next post for my reading / fave decks and visit Tarot Addicts for the full Tarot Source Collection of over 200 decks (see Useful Links in column on the right).

Have fun! :)
